Abstract

Ah stra c:t - This pape 1- describes simulation and design of si11gle-phasc to three-phase UPF system for agrirnltural/ household applications. The average cun-enl mode control (AC MC) technique is used for Unity Power Factor (UPF) correc tion of single phase AC-DC boost converter. A comprelwnsive study and analysis of si11gle-phase to three-phase converter with UPF operation is presented. Closed loop control of single phase AC-DC Ul'F boost converter is desig ned. The three phase voltage source inverter with Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (SPWM) technique has been used fo1• de to 3-phase ac conversion. The voltage mode control of three-phase voltage source SPWM inverter have been designed and simulated. The complete system with the integration of si ngl e-phase and three phase converter has bee11 simulated. The simulatio11 results with tlH'ir performance such as• power factor (pf), Total Harmonic Distortion (TIID) and efficiency have been :rnalysecl. The simulation results on resistive load is presented i11 this paper
